On June 12, 2003 I made the worst business decision ever: I signed up to be on the fraudulent Wilhelmina Scouting Network Website. I let my excitement and dreams of becoming a successful model cloud my judgement and supplied my mother's credit card information to the persistent agent on the line.

Wilhelmina Scouting Network held an open call close to King of Prussia mall at Parkview Tower, Suite 232, just a couple days before I was duped. They took my picture, assessed me, and encouraged me to make the $1000 payment( I was supposedly a 9 on a scale from 1-10) to have my profile put on their website and maintained for prospective modeling agencies to request my service. I was under extreme pressure and had not had enough time to fully research the company when they called me back in two days and demanded that I make the payment immediately, or else I would not be able to be on the website and begin a prosperous modeling career.

The presentation given by the Talent Executive Mike O'Brien, convinced me that the $1000 was the best deal that I could get, given the exorbitant price for head shots and portfolios. I also believed that I would get work in no time and be able to pay off the credit card. However, the website stopped working about halfway into the year.

I called the headquaters in Florida but received a busy signal each time. It was then that I knew that they had exploited my modeling ambition and had duped me out of $1000 plus the $20 maintenance fee for my online profile. I still have the email they sent me once I signed up with them. I would really appreciate any help that can be sent my way to be refunded the $1000.

In addition to Wilhelmina Scouting Network being fraudulent, they are also cold, callous, and calculating individuals. A man based in Florida by the name of Joe Donahue told me to send him a postcard once I got my first job. He, not unlike the other crooks, made me feel that he was acting in my best interest and legitimately putting me into a modeling career. I am now aware that this was one of their cold-hearted tactics to get me to trust them and not question their legitimacy.

I thank you for your time and concern. I hope that these people are persecuted to the full extent of the law, and that other unsuspecting hopefuls have their money returned to them.
