William heywood agreed to help me settle a landlord issue. He demanded up front payment of $150.00 through a postal money order. He said as soon as he received the money he would begin on my case right away. After sending him the money order (he let me know he'd received it).

He began to drag his feet. I had to keep after him, weeks went by. At one point he actually said "I'm sorry but your case is the least of my priorities". ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS WRITE A LETTER. I even provided a template of what I had written previously, even identifying legal statutes. The clock was ticking, the landlord had hired a collection agency.

But his laziness knows no bounds. After some heated exchanges he told me to get lost and said someone else would have to take my case. 

He sent back my papers but not the money order (which he had promised).

I reminded him of it and he insisted he had sent the money order along with the papers. Well there was only 1 envelope and no money order.

I contacted the State Bar of California and filed a complaint (State Bar of California - Case No. 17-O-04926 - Edward Gervin | Investigator)

Because I had to move to Houston in transit I misplaced the money order receipt and was not able to prove he cashed it so the scum bag stays ot of jail. Do yourself a favor STAY FAR away from this guy.
