After watching the Wordsmart advertisement with Alex Trebeck, believing their advertisement that I could return it within 30 days, I ordered it.  When I received the program, I went through the entire package and let my granddaughter try it out.  It was not what I expected it to be and packaged it right back up.  I called the customer service number and was told that I needed to do the "reading test" before I could return the program.  I went to do the reading program and my computer crashed. I called the company and explained that I would not be able to do the reading program, that I wanted to return the product.  I was told that I could not return the product and they would give me more time to get my computer up and running.  This was all in June, 2010.  I called back in July and was told they would extend my time until the end of August to see if the program would work for me.

I said no - I just want to return it. The man told me that he had already authorized me to keep the material until August and I could call back then.   I called back and spoke to a woman that was rude and basically told me that I could not return the program at that time, even though I had an extention, I was past my 30 days.  Then I got a call from their collection office and I talked to a woman named Nancy and was told that I had to write a letter to their board to see if they would allow me to return the material.  I did and sent it to the address on the collection notice I received within a day or two after talking to her on the phone.  I haven't heard another word from them until today when I received a collection notice from a collection agency.  I am also writing to the FCC to complain about false advertisement.  This company needs to be put off the air waves and charged with fraud....
