WORLDTICKETSHOP Buyer beware Netherlands Nationwide

I purchased tickets on line from World Ticket Shop for a Coldplay concert to be held in Melbourne in March 2009. I paid for the tickets in Nov 2008, the tickets went on sale Dec 2008. In Jan 2009 I contacted Worldticketshop to ask when I would be receiving my tickets. I was told that the tickets weren't going to be released until just before the concert and that I would receive the tickets then. I contacted the venue management and was assured that all tickets had been on sale since Dec 2008.

I didn't receive my tickets prior to the concert. World Ticket Shop REFUSED to refund my money. Fortunately I used my credit card to pay for the tickets. I made a complaint to the credit card company and received a full refund as a result of their investigations.

Worldticketshop do not advise on their website that they are on selling tickets, it was only after I started to push for my tickets to be sent to me prior the concert that I found this out. Had I known prior to making the purchase I would never have bought the tickets from World Ticket Shop.

Their customer service people were rude, I sent numerous emails over a period of eight weeks. The few replies I received totally ignored my questions or concerns and continued to repeat the same thing over and over.

The concert was held at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. The management of the venue told me they would like to be able to stop companies like World Ticket Shop from selling tickets to their events but legally they can't stop them.
