I am a single mother in the U.K. I have never heard of this company and nor am I interested in what they have to offer. I have just noticed that my credit card has a debit for 51p from this company. Not a lot, you might be thinking, but I don't care how much it is. I have never gone to this site and have only ever used my card online at one particular place and none of that has anything to do with pornography. I have all the bits this company is trying to tout. I am reporting it to my credit card company as fraud and even though the amount is small, it is still theft. This company can rebut this statement as much as they like, but unless my 4 year old son has been surfing for porn and sneaking my card out of my bag, I have been stolen from. If I hear in a rebuttal much like the other one that my IP and info was used etc, I will call these people liars. I want my details wiped from their system and an apology or I will post my complaint on every single one of the various large websites I own. It seems strange to me that when I type in this companies name, the only thing I can find is similar complaints. Are we all lying???

We sincerely apologize for the billing that Suzanna received from us. Someone used Suzanna's credit card and correct address (electronically verified with her financial institution) to sign up for an iFriends account, and this is why she was billed the $1 USD charge ? this was automatically processed at the time of signup. Prior to Suzanna posting this complaint, however, our fraud department had independently initiated an investigation of the account based on apparent charge irregularities, and had in fact already cancelled and blocked the account.

Very soon after creating the account, the perpetrator used premium services and incurred much larger charges. However, by that time our fraud department already suspected that this was not authorized use by Suzanna, and had blocked the account. In addition, Suzanna's financial institution did not allow the charges to be billed to her card. Of course, we have refunded the $1 that was billed to her card, and the other charges will never be billed.

Since someone has misappropriated Suzanna's address and credit card information, we strongly encourage her to cancel the credit card immediately, to notify her financial institution that her card has been compromised, and closely review all activity on that account, as well as other credit or debit accounts that she may have. Even though the usage occurred online, it is possible that the perpetrator obtained the card information from a purchase she made in a store or in a restaurant. Alternately, it could be a friend, relative, or roommate who utilized Suzanna's card information. We do have some additional personal information regarding the fraud perpetrator that we will be happy to share with her, which could help lead to identification and prosecution of the person who used her account. Unfortunately, we have no way to get in contact with her. Our Customer Service Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached toll-free from the UK by calling 00-800-4374-3637 ? we would appreciate the chance to share additional information with her and hopefully discover who misused her credit card information.

We truly regret the misimpression that Suzanna has formed about our services and our company in this instance. We will work vigorously with her to bring the perpetrator to justice. Our company has a spotless 11-year-record with all of the leading consumer protection agencies, and is well-recognized as an industry leader in the development of model consumer best practices in its internet business segment. Every one of our web services is verified by TRUSTe to be on its sealholder list of "the most trustworthy online businesses."
