I needed some missing w2's and 1099's for a grant we are filing for.  (Transcripts weren't good enough, evidently.)

I did a search for missing w2's and the site came up.  Call me naive, but I've never had a problem with internet services that float to the top of a yahoo search.

Anyway, I put in the order.  The site says that the missing docs will be in your email within 48 hours.  48 hours later, I don't even have a confirmation email that would tell me my order number, the amount taken, etc.

First thing I do is call the phone number supplied.  I get an answering machine that tells me to leave a message and they'll get back to me within two days.  Unacceptable!  I am already supposed to have my product.

So I get on to a live chat with "Victor" who is super, super dodgy about answering questions.  He asks me for my order number, which I don't have, so he asks me for social and user name.  I keep asking him when I can expect my documents and he won't answer at all, except to say that the IRS web servers are experiencing technical difficulties.

I ask him about getting a confirmation email, and he tries to send me to the phone line for this.  He says they are "Monitoring the status" which means nothing, and when I told him as much he said I will have my products "today."

Recall that "Victor" told me to call the phone number for my order number.  I pressed him on this, saying the phone line was a runaround, and then he simply gave me an order number.

If he had the order number, why did I have to wrestle him for it?  I asked him for his full name for my records, and he gave me "Jones."  Yeah, Okay.  I guess it's possible.

I asked him if it's a farmed out customer service he's working for, but he says he works for the company.

Has every appearance of a scam operation, or one that's in over it's head.  I may or may not recieve my documents in a timely fashion as promised.  At this point in the game, the trust is already broken and I am going to have to change my credit card number and social security number just in case.

Okay, so I got what I ordered a day later.

With much saber rattling I got my w2s a day late.

Still literally no customer service, but I guess the walls have ears.
