Been using Xbids.com for a few weeks . . . Never was I able to buy a good deal on anything of much value (the exception, buying bid vouchers!).   If one looks at the total bids on items worthwhile (TV's, electronics, etc.) and add up the .60 cents per bid it costs to bid on, many items go for way more in the aggregate than they are worth.  In other words, you pay to bid and your likelihood of success is very low--most end up paying for the privilege of bidding for an items they do not buy.  The advertising is, in my opinion, very deceptive since it only speaks of the final winning bid and doesn't mention how much it took bidders (including the winning bidder) actually paid (e.g., clearly any items you buy includes the winning bid price, the cost of bidding and any other handling or other charges).  Moreover, and while I do not know this is true or not, I suspect there could be some shill bidding going on.  In my opinion, the government should investigate this site and make sure things are really selling and that the bidders are all real . . . but then maybe the bidders are all real and we have to hand it to the creators of this site for cleverly enriching themselves my appealling to our collective greed (and stupidity!).   Finally, I tried to cut my losses by using my remaining bids under the "buy it now" option, but it didn't work and sucked up a bunch of my bids.
