XM Radio and Sirius Companies Incorporated and their executives, Mel Karmazin, Scott Greenstein, James E. Meyer, Dara Altman, Patrick L. Donnelly, David J. Frear ripped me off royally. I paid thousands of dollars in advertisements to be played on their stations at specific times.

I listened ALL DAY during the playing time. Not just the times they were supposed to play, but ALL DAY. They did not play my ad ONCE. NOT EVEN ONCE.

Then I called the salesperson and the salesperson said all the ads played. That is absolute bull s**+*. We are not freaking idiots here. The ads simply did not play at all.

I did not become an executive myself by being an ignoramus. My staff and I wanted to test their honesty and we found out they are filthy rotten liars.

DO NOT ADVERTISE ON THEIR STATIONS...EVER! IF YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THESE THIEVES LET EVERYBODY KNOW.

I am so screaming angry I want these companies shut down.

Ask for your money back

AUTHOR: TM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, July 08, 2011

If the didn't play the ads and you can prove it, ask for your money back. Next time you can record the station all day. That way you have proof.

Crazy unaccountability

AUTHOR: Mdav - (U.S.A.)

I've run into this too with radio stations. No accountability - and who is going to sit there all day listening to the radio to listen to their ads. This guy has tenacity and he did not hear his ads all day.

Evidence.

Hi..

There are various 3rd party monitoring services that give you actual print outs on all  ads played. Some services archive as far as 10 years. I am fairly sure (((Redacted)))is one company that comes to mind.. I think they DO monitor some Sirius Channels. I know for sure they handle most of the national feeds, but not sure if they go deep enough to cover local specific markets.

Also there are software programs like Replay Radio that will let you record hours and hours of the station's audio onto your computer's hard drive in MP3 format. And you can skim thru an entire day. When I do it, it usually takes me a half hour to skim thru an entire 24 hour day.

If worse comes to worse, you can buy a cheap VCR and record the audio as evidence. Someone will need to change tapes every 6 hours.

We paid for ads - not the first time - and sure enough, we were sitting there all day and the ads did not play.

"Mr Wow" comment to XM Radio Companies Incorporated complant

AUTHOR: Rhum - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Dear "Mr. Wow"

Obviously you are making assumptions on things you know nothing about.

1. We have several people employed by this company....not just one. When one person has to pee or eat lunch, it does not make everyone else in the room deaf.
2. XM plays several ads in a row during certain segments.

We paid and they didn't run the ads. Period.

Wow

You were by the radio all day. What business do you run that allows you to be right by the radio ALL day. I know you probably have it running through you office but my goodness. Not for 30 seconds you didn't even eat. The is impressive that you can run ads on a sirius/xm and you just get to sit there and listen AT WORK. You have wonderful self sufficient employees.

This is an out right lie or it has to be. I can see right through this. I am just a consumer but this guy sounds fake as can be. He never even went to the bathroom. He was never pulled away from his radio for a second. I know for a face the Stiletto won't even hold a full days charge if you listen to it. Perhaps he was on the wrong station. I am not sure that he is being fully honest.
