Yellow Pages United Do not get scammed by a company claiming to be Yellow Pages Atlanta Georgia

I recieved a phone call from what seemed to be a telemarketer but they identified themselves as the Yellow Pages. The man who seemed to be in his 40's had a heavy oriental accent told me that he was simply updating our current listing and they were recording this for quality assurance. I thought it was legite so I answered some questions and thought that was it.

Soon he transfered me to another representative so that my statement can be recorded saying that i authorized a purchase order invoice. I did not feel comfortable something felt wrong. So before i agreed i hung up the phone. They immediately called back asking for me but i lied and told them i was gone for the day. They kept calling all day trying to reach a person who is authorized to recieve invoices.

The next day my assistant answered the same phone calls. They started to harrass her by insisting on her to say "authorize a purchase invoice" she told them that she is only able to recieve information and can not make any decisions on this matter. She told them they can fax the invoice in and that it would be handed to her boss so that she can make the decision to use the services being offered.

After about 30min. of trying to be polite and not be rude and hang up on them my assistant was fed up and hung up. They called immediately asking for me this time. She told them that we were not interested and to not call ever again. The man then yelled at her and used profanity and threaten her life. He kept calling all day just to harrass her. It was horrible for the next week they insisted and different people would call to offer their services.

Then the calls stopped but once in a while i get one with the same man calling asking for the owner all i say is "i can take a message" and he replies with "f*** you b***h!" Is that how they plan to get customers? I hope they are stopped soon. Do not be fooled into paying anything. Thank God i didnt pay them anything but for those of you who did please report it and let people know so that stop preying on innocent small business owners. Do not give them any information eventually they will stop. Do not trust Yellow Pages United its all a scam.
