An individual whom I know, sent me money through zashpay. I received an e-mail directing me to their site to enter my bank acct and routing number so they can transmit the payment. I consider this acceptable. However, in order to fully access my money, they require my confidential and private information ( inc. SS#, DOB, address, ph#s). This is a definite red flag in my business. I have received payments from other business clients through other financial services online, but I have NEVER been asked for my private and confidential information before. Furthermore, they specified that they may RUN MY CREDIT too. This is definitely against the privacy act law.
I contacted them and apparently the company who serves their internet needs have received numerous complaints previously. I was then given a direct phone number to zashpay and the poor customer svc lady I spoke with was instructed to inform me that they need "ALL" of these info to ensure that they are transmitting to the "CORRECT" person. This is nothing short of PROPOSTEROUS !
I respectfully urge you to look into this immediately. Something smells fishy !!!!!

The original author is right, the terms and conditions are unreasonable IMO. Read their terms and conditions posted on the website. The best solution is to stay away from them...a sample of one of the terms to which you agree when you use the service is below:
"...As a Sender, you agree that you will not hold CheckFreePay liable for any damages resulting from a Receiver's decision to accept or not to accept a payment made through the ZashPay Services. We will, to the extent permitted by law, make reasonable attempts to return any unclaimed, refused, refunded, prohibited, or denied payment to the Sender's Transaction Account. If this is unsuccessful (for example, the Transaction Account has been closed) we will make reasonable attempts to mail you a paper check. If after sixty (60) days that check has not been cashed, we will stop payment on it and transfer funds to an "unclaimed funds" account, and .will subsequently handle the unclaimed funds as required or otherwise permitted by applicable law. "
Vote with your wallet. The best way to show a company you are not satisfied with their terms and conditions is to walk away from it and take your dollars somewhere else.
