Zone Labs False advertising promising rebate they don't honor, Renege on rebate offers Ripoff San Francisco California

On December 2, 2005 I was web surfing for antivirus software, I found the ZONE LABS website and an ad on the main screen at zonelabs.com, that promised the rebate.

I clicked, bought, their product because the rebate sounded enticing. As directed, I printed out my invoice and pdf document that stated the terms of the rebate. the pdf document said the rebate was good until sept 1 2006.

I mailed it off on dec 2, 2005, the same day I clicked the ad and bought the product. I included all printed proof of purchase, reciept, proof of payment, and required forms as directed.

I got a denial, saying I had applied outside of the qualifying period.

I emailed, saying the rebate I was promised was good til sept 1 of next year.

they emailed me back saying no, the rebate offer ended on DEC 1 2005 and they found no other rebate offers to which I might be referring.

The ad is still up, promising this rebate, on their website, to this day. Obviously, it is way past dec. 1st.

After sending several more complaints and emails, I was finally told I mailed the wrong rebate form. I did not, after checking the same saved document that has been on my computer the whole time, it is the one they said I needed again.

I re-mailed all copies of my documents several weeks ago and got no response. I also mailed copies of all these documents to the better business bureau in California.

So far, my rebate claim is still denied.
