I ordered $25.98 worth of Zorbeez cleaning cloths on 7/29/07. The order shipped on 8/02/07, and as of 9/28/07, still hasn't arrived.
Zorbeez charged my card $48.64. I wrote asking them what these charges were for. Their response was: $25.98 for Zorbeez, $3.71 for California sales tax and $18.95 for shipping, totaling $48.64.
They also said that my Zorbeez would arrive within ten days of their email response, which I suspect means that they had never shipped them in the first place.
Zorbeez had never disclosed shipping costs to me, which are obviously padded. They advertise their items at a cheap price and try to make up the difference with ridiculously high shipping charges.
By contrast, any shipper could have delivered that lightweight product for far less money and much more quickly. Yet they expect I will pay $18.95, plus incorrect sales tax charges (to their benefit of course) for a product that takes eight weeks to arrive.
These are very questionable business practices.
Zorbeez is located in Tennessee, which has the highest sales tax rate in the nation. Even at 9.75% (highest possible sales tax rate in Tennessee), my sales tax would only have been $2.53. In their email, they specifically stated "California sales tax" which, in my county (Los Angeles County) would amount to $2.14.
Yet Zorbeez has charged $3.71 for "California sales tax."
They have earned a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well.

THE BOTTOM LINE TO THIS IS I BOUGHT 10 PIECES OF FELT. THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THESE PRODUCTS AS THEY ADVERTISE. I COULD HAVE GONE TO THE LOCAL CRAFT STORE AND BOUGHT THE SAME THING FOR PENNIES
WHAT A TOTAL RIP OFF, THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED

and there has been no refund from Zorbees as promised.
Their Customer Service number only reaches a "call-center;" not Zorbees itself. So there isn't much that 'customer service' can do.
I have disputed the charge with my bank; I'm confident they will find in my favor.
I've found a much better deal on micro-fiber cleaning cloths at Costco, anyway!

After 21 minutes on hold (thank you, good engineers, for speakerphones), I spoke with Brenda at Zorbeez. She told me my account had been credited for the full amount of $48.64.
I was told to keep the product at no charge since there were delays in shipping.
I told her I didn't mind the delay as sometimes things happen, but charging incorrect sales tax and inordinately padding the shipping is a real problem.
She again told me my account was credited and that I should keep the product free of charge-- as if this would satisfy my anger that they tried to rip me off.
It may cost them a bit of merchandise to satisfy attentive customers, but the real point is that charging so much for shipping and sales tax is really a rip-off.
Beware of Zorbeez.
