Priceline False advertising Norwalk Connecticut

On March 21, 2025, I used Priceline to plan for a hotel stay in New York City for travel dates November 6, 2025 through November 11, 2025. I entered the dates, location and my important criteria. I've used Priceline in the past on several occasions and I typically use the option "Express Deals" which allows Priceline to choose the hotel and upon reviewing and putting in payment information is when the traveler learns the exact location of the hotel. I have never had an issue in the past using that option.

The hotel that came up matching my criteria, was for a 5 night stay for the dates indicated above, located in the Central Park South area of Manhattan in New York City. it showed a price which was the total price of $572.15. You can use your mouse to hover over the price where a drop down box appears which shows possible hidden fees, etc. The drop down box showed this information:

Total Price, No Surprise!

Cost per nnight - $75

1 room

Number of nights - 5

Taxes & Fees - $197.15

Total Price - $572.15

There is a button that says "Choose Room" which I clicked on to complete and accept the Express Deal. However, when I clicked on the button, the price shown was $2,851.00 total. This is a clear case of false advertising.
