I signed a contract with Alltel for 1 year of service on December 11, 2000. On December 11, 2001 I called to cancel my service and i was informed that I had missed the billing period by 3 days and would have to pay another month's service if I wanted to cancel on the 11th.

I was also informed that if I had cancelled before the end of the Billing period I would have been charged an amount equal to 1 months service for "early termination of contract." However, since i completed my end of the contract i still owed (according to a very rude customer rep.) another month's fees for missing the end of the billing period.

I filed a complaint with FCC and will endure their phone calls until the give up.
