I have been fighting with American Express to dispute the charge for a sofa I ordered back in December that I still have not received. I originally filed my complaint with them back on March 8th. They are inaccessible on the phone. They took days to call me back and then would not leave last names or extensions. They kept saying that there is nothing that they can do about my missing sofa because my contract says that shipping times may vary even though it has been over 5 months and the sofa company(Leatherland USA) is completely inaccessible to myself, the Better Business Bureau as well as the attorney General's office. The sofa company has already lied three times to American Express about shipping times but American Express believes them and still refuses to help. They can also be very nasty.

What can I say about ae except that it sucks. Wrote about how they USE to be a good company. Use to have a gold card with them. Decided it wasn't worth the $75. After spending $12k plus in one year. They send me a check for $55, shread it. They send me a check for $75, shread it. If I deposit the check, I renew the card. Got tired of paying both ways, both as a customer and as a merchant. This was 10+ years ago. WHAT DO I GET IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY?
A statement from ae/optima, never had an optima card. It shows a credit for 41 CENTS. They lost a class action lawsuit. It says on the statement that I can carry over the credit to next month's bill or ask that a refund check be sent. I call and speak with india/express, if you catch my drift and ask that a refund check be sent.
