Amigo Energy Should change name to Ripoff Energy Houston Texas

After increasing my electricity rate from $0.1469 to $0.1799 at the end of May 2008, Amigo Energy increased it again from $0.1799 to $0.2469 at the end of June 2008. I had no prior notification of either increase. After the first increase, I contacted them and I was told that they are not obligated to inform the customers! I thought the consumer always knows what he is going to pay for something before he purchases it. Apparently when it comes to electricity that is not the case. I am wondering how Amigo Energy can get away with such price gouging. I recommend they change their name to "Ripoff Energy". That would be very appropriate. I wonder how long this ill-gained wealth of the father-son executive team of "Amigo" Energy is going to last. I have switched to another provider and I strongly urge all Amigo customers to seriously consider switching as well.
