Amigo Energy charged me outrageous rates Dallas, TX Texas

I signed up for 6 month fixed price plan in Jan 2008. It was good for initial 6 months. After completing six months by Jun 2008, Amigo Energy screwed me up with their new rate 24.19 cents per KWH which almost 60% higher compared to their previous rate.

I received a renewal notice on 22-Jul-2008 telling me that my contract is about to expire and asking me to renew my contract. But they already charged me at 24.19 cents per KWH right from 01-Jul-2008 to 01-Aug-2008

I did not get any notification prior to this ridiculous increase in rate. I am trying to switch to another provider...but I am already ripped off

The pity is they call it as "Deep Discount No-Contracts Program featuring E-Billing and direct debit payments". Only god knows how deep this discount is...when they charge 24.19 cents per KWH

Think thrice before signing up with Amigo....
