I received $12 from my financial aid and after repeatedly asked to be dropped from the courses, they finally stopped taking my financial aid.  Applied to Ashford and took first free online class. When financial aid was taken, it was an awfully large amount for an online college. When they took my tuition monies, I was sent a $12 check and a note that said I agreed with tuition if I cashed said check. After it was all said and done, I withdrew from the school after several phone calls and letters. They were still taking financial aid and the price of books weren't included in their outrageous tuition. I ended up having to pay $800 for them to release my transcripts to another college.
