I opened an account online with Bank of America. I decided on BOA since I will be transferring to school in California and thought it would be better than opening a local account and changing in a few months. I was able to open the checking and saving acct online with my SSN and DL info. I recieved my debit card and started direct depositing my funds. On Feb 6th, 2011 a transaction for $6 was refused, although I had $1,349.39 in the acct. When I called, I was told "I" had called and reported my card lost, which is an outright lie.

I decided I would just use my ATM card and not worry about it since there are no local banks here. After my check was direct deposited March 3, 2011, I tried to withdraw money and the account was locked. I called BOA and was told the acct had been closed and I had to go into the bank to verify my identity. Common sense, if the closest bank is in Georgia and my earned money is in the account, I wanted to get my money out. I was told I couldn't get any information on my account, including my balance and I could not close the acct. I tried my best to get an answer as to why from Roger, Mike and another female and was told since the acct was opened online and they had a report the card was lost I had to drive 2 hours one way to go into the bank.

I offered to fax my DL and SS card and school ID and was told I physically had to go into the bank. There was no legitimate reason given. I am still the same person who is on the acct, opened the acct, have both the ATM and debit card in my possession, am at the exact same address and phone number, but they are holding close to $2,000 of my money and refuse to release it or let me close my account on line or on the phone. I will have to miss school and work to travel to GA to close this acct and get my own money which makes no sense. I know I never reported my card lost and no-one else has had access to it and I verified every transaction before they decided to close, sorry they said lock not close; the acct and refuse to let me have my own money.

My room fee will be late and I can't get a replacement check since BOA took the money in even though the acct is locked by their own mistake and stupidity. I am completely messed up with my fees now and BOA won't give me a straight answer without my driving 2 hours to come into a Bank which I didn't need to do for them to open my acct and take my money. Now, they are holding my funds hostage and inconveniencing me beyond belief and they don't have to answer for it or pay my late fees which are going to occur now because of them.

ZOMBIE POEM

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 08, 2011

ZOMBIE POEM

Destroy their lives
Don't give them hugs
Just advertise
Prescription drugs
Profits must rise
For all the thugs
They advertise
Prescription drugs
Just feed them lies
Each single day
Zombies galore
In USA
Health care for all
It is their will
No truth at all
Just pill pill pill....................

End.

EXPERIMENT: Try watching only the PBS stations for one week, and do not watch any Network T.V. (NBC, CBS, ABC, & FOX) or any cable stations at all. Then after the week is over, go back to the Network stations and notice how many of the commercials are for prescription drugs. (Depression medication, erectile dysfunction medication, allergy medication, etc.)

Believe it or not, the ones who are controlling this country are also controlling the Network stations, and they're controlling the minds of those who watch Network T.V.

They obviously want to get as many Americans as possible 'hooked' on these prescription drugs so they can PROFIT off of their 'cattle', and their 'turkeys', who fall under their 'spell'.

***The United States of America has turned into a country whose foundation is solidly built on LIES, DECEPTION, FRAUD, MANIPULATION, GREED, TRICKERY, DEEP CORRUPTION, & the CONSTANT PURSUIT TO FINANCIALLY INJURE- PHYSICALLY INJURE- & EMOTIONALLY INJURE, AS MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

Anna, The publicly held banking system in the USA is......

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, March 05, 2011

corrupt. It is part of Wall Street. Wall Street is mainly corrupt too. If you stay at this site and type in 269041 and go to 'Consumer Comment #3' at Ripoff Report #269041, you can learn more about Wall Street, okay? Pay close attention to what was stated from paragraph #4 to the end of that consumer comment.

That consumer comment was posted on August 21, 2007, which was thirteen months before the collapse of the banking system in the USA and the stock market crash. In September of 2008, the banking system collapsed (melted down) and the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points in one full day of trading on September 29, 2008.

The ones who control Wall Street also control the big banks in the USA. The reason there was a meltdown in the first place is because the bankers decided to deceive and manipulate millions upon millions of people in the USA into taking out ARM's and Interest Only Mortgages that they knew would fail. (This occurred after the Fed lowered the rate to 1% in 2003.) But these bankers made a lot of money while the 'false housing boom' was taking place in America in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

You see, Americans had about $4 Trillion invested in their Retirement accounts back in 2006. About 90% of it was invested in the stock market. The bankers knew this, because they also control most of American's Retirement accounts. (401K's & IRA's, etc.)

It appears that some of these bankers wanted to take a good chunk of that Retirement money from the American people, so they put a plan in motion that would stimulate the economy and the sale of homes throughout the USA. As people were buying and re-financing homes, the stock market was rising and these same bankers were capitalizing on the 'false boom' that they orchestrated.

The bankers, and many others, were able to make a lot of money during the false boom because they knew when to cash-in their stock. The stock market was rising and these Wall Street bankers were making a fortune. Some of them obviously knew that the party was coming to an end. You can 'Google' this- VETERANS TODAY GOLDMAN SACHS EMAILS: FIRM HAD 'THE BIG SHORT' AS ECONOMY FELL, and read the related articles for proof.  Others made a fortune by 'shorting' the market too. ('Shorting' the market basically means that you are betting that it will fail or go down.)

The Dow Jones went from its highest close ever of 14,164 points on October 9, 2007, to its lowest level in over a decade on March 9, 2009. It closed at 6,547 on March 9, 2009.

You see, Wall Street has basically turned into a giant Ponzi scheme where the ones in the 'know' are profiting tremendously. And Americans continue to fuel Wall Street with the money that is being taken out of their paychecks each week and put into their Retirement accounts (401K's & IRA's), along with others who buy stocks.

The sad thing is that these same bankers control much of our government. Think of it like this: the Federal Reserve, Wall Street, and the government, are one giant entity. The way that this entity is able to continue to thrive is by 'feeding' off of the rest of the people in the USA and around the world. People who understand this won't necessarily be financially injured by this entity, but the majority of the people in the USA and around the world are vulnerable, and they're being manipulated every day.

Unfortunately, the United States of America has turned into a country whose foundation is solidly built on lies, deception, fraud, manipulation, greed, trickery, deep corruption, and the constant pursuit to financially injure the innocent people living here and all over the world.

There's more, but the above videos will provide you with the information necessary to determine that our government, and other governments, are under control of the Federal Reserve and the IMF.

Don't forget to 'Google' this- WHO OWNS THE FED?, and go to the site with the 5 charts to see who really controls the U.S. government.

P.S. Here's one example of how Americans are being manipulated right now: The 'health care program' that was recently passed requires almost every American to purchase and maintain health care insurance. This is just another way that the 'entity' is indirectly taxing the American people so it can fuel itself with more revenue. Since tax revenue has declined due to the eight million lost jobs in the USA, the entity had to come up with another way to get more money. Americans are being manipulated into believing that the health care plan is for their own good. It's just another way to secretly tax millions of people and force them into purchasing something that they might not want. Those who don't purchase health insurance will be fined. The fine is simply extra revenue for the ones who are in control.

Another example of how Americans and people all over the world are being manipulated is taking place currently. Oil is obviously being manipulated for profit by the bankers, and others. Oil consumption hasn't increased in the USA. It has actually decreased by about 11% since 2007. There's plenty of oil in the world. The president of OPEC said a few years ago that there's enough oil for the next 50 years at current consumption levels. Be sure to watch the 60 Minutes segment above, entitled- 'Did Speculation Fuel Oil Price Swings' to see who some of the manipulators are.

One final example of how the entity is manipulating the American people: The entity also controls the mainstream media. If you watch network T.V. you'll see that the main advertisers are Pharmaceutical companies who are 'pushing' drugs on their viewers. Most of these drugs do more damage to the people who take them, over time, but the Pharmaceutical companies who are Wall Street companies are making "Billions" in profits. By manipulating the masses in America into believing that pills are the answer, the entity generates more revenue. Pills for 'erectile dysfunction' and 'depression' are making the executives at these corporations, and others, very wealthy, but these pills do not cure anyone.

***Simply cancel your account with Bank of America as soon as possible and open an account at a locally owned and operated credit union in your town.

Good luck to you!

Interesting

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

It is interesting how you left the few "little" facts out of your original report. You are 17 Years Old.  You got the card had purchases in not one but two other states.  Then you didn't respond to their E-mails.  Now, let us not forget the original post where you opened this on-line.

You don't see any indications of possible fraud?  Yes you truly are 17..well welcome to the real world.  You really need to look at this from the other side.  Say someone was using your identity.  You would be screaming at the top of your lungs if they didn't do things like this to try and protect you.

Of course they apologized once you VERIFIED who you were.  But until then your actions gave every indication that it may be a fradulent account.  Whether you think it was legitimate or not they were trying to protect you.  Oh and I would be pretty sure that the card was reported lost/stolen by their fraud department when you didn't respond to their e-mails.

By the way the "poor me" routine on having to make a 4 hour, oh wait the 4 hour and 21 minute, round trip to clear this up really looses something when you talk about going on the road to TN and VA.

Ah, kids.

AUTHOR: BrianAPaone - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

When I was 17 I thought I knew everything too. In order:

* First off, what Bank of America did was for your own protection. Would you have preferred instead that the bank NOT be concerned with security issues?

Financial institutions of all shapes and sizes issue temporary locks for a wide variety of reasons. Just last month, Discover put a temp hold on my account because of a burst of activity on it - I bought some parts for my business. Frankly, I thought it was great the bank was watching my back, but hey - you're 17. You must know better, yes? :-)

If most of your transactions occur in AL, then suddenly start showing posts from TN and VA, on a 17-year-old's account... yeah, that's gonna cause a few red flags with most reputable financial institutions.

* This may come as a shock to you, but out here in the real world there's a lot of people that are VERY good at convincing people they are someone they are not. (You may have seen some called "actors", but given what Hollywood's belching out these days I sincerely doubt you've ever seen a real actor.)

That's why most banks will require a person to come down to a branch in... well, person. It's not so easy to pass oneself off as another in person as it is over the phone or 'Net.

But hey, you're 17. You already know that, and probably already know the best ways for this rather old and stodgy financial institution to do all of this over the phone or on the internet lickety-split, I bet. So how would you handle that?

* And finally:

You act like this is OMG THE WORST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU. I sincerely hope it is, because life's going to get a HELL of a lot tougher for you, and the attitude you've got now is only going to make things much, much worse.

Here's hoping it changes before you waste the rest of your life thinking you're better than everyone that came before you and failing miserably at proving it. Lose the attitude, kid.

You haven't earned it yet. Best of luck doing that.

Saying the card was reported stolen wasn't true as I stated

AUTHOR: Anna - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

After literally 4 hours 21 minutes roundtrip to BOA, my card was NEVER reported lost which is what I stated; therefore, it was not a legitimate lock. Also, if BoA was concerned I'd sent in stolen DL and SS card, why on earth would they open the account and send an ATM and Debit card to me to use a month prior to locking the account. Common Sense. As noted, after a waste of my time going to BOA and receiving their apology, they actually closed the account, (not because anyone reported the card lost/stolen as the CSR falsely stated), but because the account was opened on line with my Alabama information, but I had posts from TN, and VA in 24 hours, which was my travel to VA; and admittedly I didn't respond to their email over the weekend. The purpose of a card is so you can use it for travel, so again, this made no sense. And no, there is nothing else missing. When I'm on the road, I don't check my email everyday any more than I go on Facebook everyday. At 17, a straight A student in college, even I have more sense than that. (Yes, you can get a card at 17 in AL). They did unlock the account which should have never been locked.

CORRALLED POEM

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

CORRALLED POEM

They're corralled just like cattle
Even turkeys, it's true
People all over this land
Don't have one single clue
They rise every morning
Most are sad and quite lost
Paying taxes and bills
It's the ultimate cost
Guess this poem is over
Only a few are 'awake'
They 'know' that this country
Is a lie and a fake.

End.

'Buddha' (definition) - Awakened, enlightened, from budh to awake, know.

Online accounts

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

Your main problem is that you opened an online account with a bank that has no local branches.    When security issues arise, this can be a nightmare.

BOA obviously has reason to believe there has been some questionable activity.   If the debit card was indeed cancelled by someone other than you, that would tell them that someone could be posing as you.   On the Internet, there's no way to differentiate someone who has stolen your identity from you yourself.

I tried my best to get an answer as to why from Roger, Mike and another female and was told since the acct was opened online and they had a report the card was lost I had to drive 2 hours one way to go into the bank."

At this point, they do not know that you really are you.  They're not going to give you details about why they suspect fraud.

I offered to fax my DL and SS card and school ID and was told I physically had to go into the bank."

No surprise there.   If someone had stolen your identity, wouldn't they want to do the same thing?

Bottom line.  There is something that has raised a red flag with the bank.    Look at the other side of the coin.  If someone had obtained your identifying details and drained your bank account, you probably would be even less happy about it.

Anna, Make sure to 'Google' this- BANK OF AMERICA WACHOVIA WELLS FARGO CAUGHT FUNDING MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS, and watch the video.....

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, March 04, 2011

on the web, okay?

Then 'Google' this- WACHOVIA BANK AND WELLS FARGO: DRUG LAUNDERMATS TO THE WORLD, and read the related articles on the web. (Bank of America is named in at least one of the articles.)

Now stay at this website and type in 453956 and read Jim's Ripoff Report. (Ripoff Report #453956.) He can't get his $100,000 CD that he took out for his grandchildren's college education at Wells Fargo. He had to hire an attorney to try and get his own money from the bank.

It appears that the publicly held banks in the USA seem to be in business to make money any way possible, including taking out 'secret life insurance policies' on their employees. Just stay at this site and type in 411913 and read Ripoff Report #411913 where the banks have taken out about $120 Billion in these policies.

Then 'Google' this- BANK EXECUTIVES PROFITING ON THE DEATH OF EMPLOYEES, and read where Bank of America has $17 Billion in these policies on its employees. Wells Fargo also has $17 Billion in these policies, and JP Morgan Chase has $11 Billion. That's $45 Billion in 'secret life insurance policies' between those three banks, right?

Question: Why would anyone in the USA want to have a bank account with the banks mentioned above?

Suggestion: Cancel your account with Bank of America after you get your money and open an account with a locally owned and operated credit union.

Good luck to you!

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 03, 2011
I offered to fax my DL and SS card and school ID and was told I physically had to go into the bank. There was no legitimate reason given.

- Just because you don't think the reason was legitimate, doesn't mean it isn't.

You said that they told you that the card was reported stolen.  Perhaps it was or perhaps that is just the reason they are giving you until they can verify who you are.

How do they know that you are the same person on the ID's that you are faxing?

Not that you did this, but for all they know you could have stolen all of those ID's and are committing identity theft.  Oh and before you ask "would a crook deposit money into an account".  The answer is YES.  They get money deposited into an account, withdraw the money as soon as they can.  The deposit comes back as bad the bank reverses the deposit which puts the account in the negative.  So who is on the hook for it?  The victim of the identity theft because someone opened up an account in their name.

So yes you are going to have to go into the bank to verify yourself.  Until you do this they have no idea if you are really that person.
