Big 5 has entered into the "I forgot to change the price retailers".  I went to Big 5 for a pair of sporting shoes that were on sale and the cashier charged twice the sale price.  Upon letting her know that of the error, she finally agreed to honor the sale price.  i told her that I should get some kind of break for almost paying the computer price and she said "they probably forgot to enter the correct price in the computer".

After talking to the manager, she said take the shoes or leave them.  I paid for the shoes and called the corporate office and they said the same thing "somebody didn't change the price on the computer" and no breaks.

I cannot imagine how many other consumers are getting ripped off by this scamming company.  After the conversation with the Corporate office, I took the shoes back.  So long Big 5,  Watch out America, you may be the next "Whoops, somebody forgot to change the price" scammed customer.

so if somebody was to sell you a product for the retail price and not the sale price, the public is going to be ok with that????  i believe that the respondent to this article was a Big 5 employee, because unless you are Mark Zukerberg, we are all trying to save money.  so lets go into Walmart and pay Bloomingdale prices!?!?  the public would be ok with that???   not in america.  Sam Walton is a billionaire many times over because people are looking for bargains and the retailers like Big 5 are looking for ways to increase the margins and blame it on somebody else.  bait and switch or we hired the unemployable people are the excuses they hide behind. the poor clerks who last week were living in their car and now have a job but really don't know how to work, so that when they make a mistake, oh well, we get more money and we don't have to give it back because the sucker left the store.  ahhahahaha!!!!  ca-ching!!!

So they forgot to remove an old sales-tag.  You spotted it.  You told them about it.  They gave you the sales price.  And now you think you deserve a deeper discount?  You only desere the sales price.  Nothing more or less.  Human aren't perfect.  They fixed the goof.

What's next?  The shoes track dirt into your house so Big 5 needs to sudsidize your carpet cleaning bill?

Your behavior is the sort thing that gives Americans a bad name.
