Big Planet Books bigplanetbooks.com Did Not send textbook, took my payment and said they do NOT give tracking numbers for their packages. Do Not be Fooled by their cheap prices and "safe-looking website" many others on facebook have had Chattanooga, Tennessee, Internet

I bought a textbook from BigPlanetBooks.com because the price was cheaper than alot of other sites. It looked safe except that one small thing caught my attention: they didn't offer a tracking number for their orders so a customer can't check where their package is in transit or when to expect delivery. I ignored this and trusted them. After 8 days I emailed bigplanetbooks@gmail.com my concern about the textbook not arriving. Then, I received a reply from "Ellen" saying the book was shipped and rarely takes more than 12 to 14 days to arrive. So I waited 14 days. I sent another email to them and got no reply after one day.  Luckily, I had used Paypal to pay for the book so I opened a "dispute" late at night claiming I never received my book. The next morning I had received a refund from betterworldbooks on my account and it said their location was in San Jose,California which is very suspicious since in their reply email it says they are located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and their website says their location is Burbank, California. Also, they list no phone number anywhere on their site except in a very small section in the "contact us" which is  3106017952. I have looked up reviews on facebook and many others have the same trouble getting their books. Do not buy from them.

I was reading the first comment and now im getting worried because i sent an email to the gmail that was provided on that website and i see on my credit card statements that it was paid for. I have been in contact with someone sending emails back and forth and now is saying that there is no order. i just want to know if this is really a scam and if so then how can i get my money back? And IF NOT then how long should i wait for it? It doesnt make sense not receiving an email or confirmation number or anything.

I am a college student and found bigplanetbooks online and I thought their prices were unbelievable as well.   So, I made a purchase.  It was then, I realized this report referencing this company and I started to panic.  However, when I emailed this company, I was overwhelmed by the fast, courteous, and professional service I received.  I feel bad that I reacted based on this report and for that reason I wanted to share my experience.  I don't know the person who contend he was ripped off nor do I know anyone from bigplanet books. 

I just wanted other college student to know who are looking for really great deals that my experience was not this other individual experience.  I received a tracking number and this company did respond to my email.  I basically just like to keep it real!  I felt compelled to join this rip off thingy simply to respond to your post.  To all college students who appreciate a good deal... This company has great deals and I would most def order from them in a heartbeat!  I will recommend this company to other classmates and I have. 

I am sad that the person who made this complaint had issues.  I just want to say that your issues were not my issues at all..

I saw this report and thought I might set the record straight.  I ordered quite a lot of books for our classroom and they all showed up before the expected delivery date.  We saved a lot of money and the books are all in very good condition.  After emailing them, a customer service rep named Ellen, provided a tracking number for the shipment.  I will definitely use this company again.
