I received a delivery from Cal-Pacific (a large box of tools). I called and advised them that I did not order anything, nor have I ever spoken to anyone from their company. Their customer service person told me that I did order. She would not believe me when I told her I have never ordered, nor spoken with anyone. I told her that I wanted them to send me a return receipt, as I was NOT paying to return the items. She said I did order them - very rudely - and said she would have the owner call me. A few days later I received a letter saying they've had some problems, and enclosed a UPS label. However, I have to take time out of my day to drop it off. I would NEVER order anything from them - and would strongly suggest you all do the same.

#11 Consumer Suggestion

You do not have to return them.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 13, 2009

Visit the FTC website at www.ftc.gov and learn your rights about items received that were NOT ordered by you.

1. Items received that were NOT ordered are considered a GIFT-you have no obligation to pay for said items.

2. You are not required to RETURN the items to the business that sent them to you.

In other words, you merely thank them for the gifts, don't pay for them, and instruct them to NOT bill you for it and that if they report this as a bogus debt to the credit reporting agencies that you will follow through with civil and criminal complaints to appropriate government agencies.

Enjoy!

There are laws regarding receiving items you haven't ordered

AUTHOR: Lynn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 13, 2009

Everyone be advised that there are laws in some states (Michigan for one) that state if you receive items you have not ordered you can keep them without paying for them. I am urging anyone who received unordered merchandise from Cal Pacific, Atlas Supply or whatever they are calling themselves that day, to check the laws in the state you live. Do Not Pay these guys!!!
