What an extreme case of telemarketing scammers completely out of control.  First of all this is a 2 day/2 night cruise to the Grand Bahamas, but they don't even let you buy it.  They try and strong arm you into purchasing a $1000 crap vacation package that any moron would know is not worth the paper that the "certificates" are printed on.

Upon further questioning, I found out that all of the "included" items may or may not have additional charges.  I was told that if I didn't want to pay extra gratuities that I should only eat at the buffets, because if I eat in the main dining room, I would be charged extra.  I couldn't make heads or tails out of what they were trying to sell me.

I told them I did NOT want to go to Ft. Lauderdale, they tried to tell me that I DID.  No, I actually don't.  I asked about the parking if they were giving me a rental car, I would have to pay for that.  Oh, and he whispered and said very quickly that I would have to visit a TIMESHARE!  UGHHHH Each time I said I wasn't interested the young man would say in a very condensending way "Why's that?"  None of your d*mn business.  The office sounded like a dorm room party.  Loud and obnoxious club music, people yelling and clapping in the background.

I have cruised 24 times in my life, so for these folks to think that I would be convinced that this OLD, dirty and unimpressive ship would be something I would want to travel on - PLEASE, some people have some class.  They said that they have to get the goverment taxes NOW, that is NOT true, call Holland America, Call RCL, Call NCL, they will take a deposit on your cruise, but they will NOT and can NOT collect the government fees to hold the cruise.

People - if it seems too good to be true, it is.  You will go broke if you take this cruise there is nothing FREE about it, you will pay dearly.  Oh, and there website has NO phone number and no contact information.  "Why's That?"  Because there motto is "Don't call us - we'll call you!"

What???

AUTHOR: znzpro - ()

POSTED: Sunday, June 16, 2013

I have no idea what that "rebuttal" was about.  Certainly NOT my post.

Caribbean Cruise Line is most certainly a SCAM - and they are NOT a cruise

line at all, just cruise brokers who wholesale space on this old, dirty and

disgusting tub.  They are really sellers of Timeshares and use this little

game of a FREE CRUISE to get you to view a Timeshare pitch.  No REAL

cruise line would only offer 2 day cruises.  That's completely ridiculous.

Steer clear of this company.  If you get a call or a notice about a free

cruise - look the other way!

worthless report...

This report is less than worthless. If you're here to warn others and find advice/help in getting the matter resolved, then explain what happened and what steps you've taken to resolve the issue.

For example, how did they get your banking information? My guess is you probably contacted them for something and gave them your banking information and authorized the charge, even if you maybe didn't understand what was happening. Since lenders aren't allowed to charge money for just loan applications, it sounds like you probably signed up for some sort of monthly "service" they offer. If you call and cancel, you'll be out the $30 but it'll be over and done with. If you do nothing, you should probably expect this to happen again next month.

I'm not saying it's not a scam (it is) or that you weren't taken advantage of (you were) but I doubt they're "stealing" in the traditional sense. It's probably legal... disgusting, but legal.

If you've never spoken to them before, there's also the chance it may just be a mistake and a simple call should get you refunded. If not, a call to your bank to report the transaction as fraud should get you refunded. But either way, it's more than getting the refund, you also need to deal with the source of the problem.

If you do get a refund, you should also probably let your bank know you do not authorize any further electronic transactions from these people so this can't happen again. If the bank can't do that for some reason, you may have to close your account.
