Chase Manhattan Chase Manhattan Mortgage Improper crediting of mortgage payments; improper forced insurance this IS the ripoff business from hell the business that doesnt give a dam San Diego California

I received a notice in the mail, April, 2003 that my mortgage was behind 2 months I needed to pay 1,521.66 to bring my account current. My mortgage payment $1,310.79. I called to inquire after receiving the letter and was told that my mortgage was placed into escrow because I owe on forced insurance. I informed them that I have my own insurance and that the insurance company has notification.

She told me that they was not notified to stop the payment, and to continue to pay the money until it gets straight. I told her I don't have any extra money to send to wait to get it back.

I called the insurance section of Chase to verify that the insurance information was received. I got the persons name and called back to Chase, gave them the number and they were suppose to verify the insurance.

I am still constantly receiving calls late at night, stating that I owe money when I am sending my payments on time every month. I received another letter from the escrow department stating that my insurance was lapsed for one month and I owe $72.67. I went ahead and mailed the payment just to settle this. I am still receiving harrassing letters and calls stating I owe more money. My money is constantly being misapplied.
