Purchased tickets for a MLB game on 3/20/2013, and got charged for the full amount, including service fees and shipping charges. Also received their Email Confirmation accepting my order. The following day, 3/21/2013, I get an email stating my order was not accepted and they are unable to fullfill it. So I call 'Cheaptickets' and ask what can be done about my charge on my credit card and what the deal was. They say it should take 4-5 business days for my refund to come through. Meanwhile, if I find the tickets some where else or if I purchase through them again, I'll have to cough up another couple hundred dollars until my account clears from their error.
My Compensation:
Refund that will take 4-5 days to clear and 15% off my next purchase.
1)Under their Ticket Support there's a 150% Guarantee, but you must read carefully because it would not apply in this situation.
2)The following statement comes directly from their site, but I was not given this substitute....'Why weren't the tickets I purchased available?All event tickets listed on Cheaptickets.com are listed by 3rd party ticket sellers which are vigorously screened and monitored. It is however possible in some rare instances that the ticket you purchased had already been sold somewhere else prior to the seller receiving your order through Cheaptickets.com. If this is the case, we will do everything in our power to provide you with substitute tickets that are equivalent or better to the event tickets you originally purchased.'
If I check the event on their site, there's still tickets in the same section, for the same day, and at an even lower price. Upgrade me for goodness sake...but Buyer Beware! They do not honor their policy and if you were looking forward to that family outing, be prepared to be disappointed!
