CIT Lease Finance ripoff Fraudulent and Dishonest Company Chicago Illinois

I was also ripped of by CIT Lease Finance Group.
In 2004 after I started my company, a salesman by the name of Pat (cannot remember last name) called and offered me a credit card machine. I explained to him that I was getting a lot of offers and I would have to evaluate them and make a decision. He told me that he would call back in a week. He did keep his promise and called to check on my decision. I told him that I was going to go with another company. He told me that I could get a ton of incentives (which I also have in writing) for going with him.

We met up and I signed the contract with he assured me that it was cancelable within 2 weeks and he would send a copy when my machine was installed. He also asked for a cancelled and told me that they required it to verify that I had an account. A week later, a woman came to hook my machine up at my residence and did not have my copy of the contract, nor did she have any stickers or any of my other 6 incentives. She told me that they were out and she would bring both in 2 days. Two days passed and she was a no show. I tried calling and the number was disconnected.

After 1 week with no contact, I gave up. A few months later I noticed that I was getting money taken out of my account (the sales man told me I would make payments with a check) I called my bank to see what was going on. They cancelled the automatic drafts and gave me the contact information for CIT.

When I contacted them for a refund, they told me that I could not get a refund and that I was in a non-cancelable agreement from the day I signed my contract. This was also showing up on my credit report.
I filed a suit in small claims court against him (I have to locate docs from 2004) and I hired 3 sheriffs from 3 different jurisdictions to search for him. After a month they gave up and sent me letters saying they could not locate him. (Note: I had previous address and the whole nine on him...he was no longer in Texas) A few months later I got a letter from the court asking me if I wanted to close the case because of this (I would be able to reopen it later if he turned up).

I have contacted CIT numerous times and they have told me that the reps DO NOT work for CIT and they have no info on them. I did verify his name and that he was a rep, but as far as business name or address, they said they have nothing.

So now in 2007, I have disputed this account well over 50 times and there has been no budge. This is the ONLY negative on my credit report and it is really hurting me. And all because a rep at CIT was dishonest. I am still fighting....
