In February '05 I attended a seminar for Realtors. Actually it was a sales pitch. I signed up for TechVantage Personal Coaching Program for $3500. With it came a management database program with one month of technical support. The software was defective and the support technicians were incompetent. At times I was on hold for over an hour.

By the time the Coaching Institute sent me new software, the free support had expired. Dealing with the company several hours a day was a nightmare. All the Coaching Institute could tell me was to call the manufacture. The program is suppose to hotsynk with my Palm. The technicians were baffled. At one point the technician told me to hard set my Palm then to delete it off my computer.

I'm not that stupid. Where was my data base to be found if I deleted everything? They messed up my Palm and my database so bad I had to call Palm support to get the mess straighten out, which of course cost plenty.

I filled out The Evaluation and they assigned me a coach named Catherine. Catherine had a very heavy accent. The first 2 sessions went fairly well. We talked about written goal setting and time management. She e-mailed me a Business Plan. I completed it and mailed it back on March 22, 05. I told her the difficulty I was having with the software, but she offered no help. In fact, when I told her all the problems with the software, her response was "it's common sense."

Her only response was that I wasn't doing what I was suppose to do -- mail out letters and postcards, do the time management, journaling, and goal setting. Because of her attitude and language barrier, I request a new coach but the Coaching Institute refused. After the 12 weeks ended, I called on several occasions for help, but it was a waste of time. They just don't know what they're doing.

I requested technology help from the Coaching Institute with my web page. After all I had signed up for the Tech Advantage program, but they could not offer any help. They refused again.

I spend a lot of time and money with the Coaching Institute and their software recommendation, and none of this time and money has got me further ahead, definitely not to a next higher level as they advertise.

For $3500, the Coaching Institute definitely is a rip-off.
