Basically, the problem with this company is that they deceived my by making false offers at the free seminar held at the Holiday Inn Hotel at Sunrise Blvd in Florida on September 5th 2007 and presented by Andy Rosas. Then I sent an email to Mr. Rosas requesting for the cancellation of the program and they never accept my cancellation even though it was made within 3 business day.
I can provide copy of all emails I have exchange with them as a proof I have tried to solve this problem directly with them without any success. I have read many complaints about this company in Planet Realtor website and see they have complaints on the Utha BBB website as well for same issues.
The offer you something at the seminar and then do not honor what they say. These people are scammers and should not be allowed to do business at all.
This is a transcript of one the emails exchange with one of their customer service representative.
I do not include the first email I sent written in spanish to Mr. Rosas, requesting for cancellation which he acknoledged by responding to me the same day.
The only thing I want you to do is do me a favor to cancel the program for me, credit $4995 to the matrix plus account and close it.
I explained everything to Mr. Andy Rosas in Spanish and he said he explained that to Mr. Scott Hanson.
Basically, what happened was that at the seminar we were told we could pay the 4,995 fee when we close our 1st, 2nd or 3rd transaction and that is why I accepted the offer but in reality that is not true, I was charged right up front, in advanced and not like Mr. Rosas said. Like I said I took the offer because I certainly believe that there was no risk whatsoever because I would pay it when I did my first or even third transaction.
At the seminar another thing was told about a complete one year coaching, but the papers I read here say I will have just 30 sessions in total, 12 weeks the coach calls me and 18 weeks I call the coach, what happened with the missing 22 weeks of the year? A year has 52 weeks.
Also it was mentioned we would have a free website, the papers here say we have to pay $229.00 monthly for the website.
I made this cancellation request to Mr. Rojas 3 days after I went to the seminar, exactly when I found out that I was mislead.
This is the best I can do to explain in plain English why I took the final decision to cancel the program before it even started. Please understand my position and do not try to convince me to the contrary, it will not change my mind.
I must add that I did not took the 2 days workshop and did not enrolled in the coaching progra by not sending them the Professional & Business Assessment.
I really need help to solve this issue.
Thanks, God Bless you all.

Answer to CI response

First of all, all what they say is completely false. They know and can verify what their seminar presenters say and do not say and if any doubt they must investigate so the truth comes to light. Mr. Andy Rosas did offer me and all the realtors present the option to pay after first deal was done, he never explained this was a 12 month no interest plan, neither no one explained the contract neither let us read it, it was so quick that I did even think about it because I was so convinced by him I did not have anything to risk and fear was gone by going with this otion to pay afterwards and not upfront like CI did right away to charge me to this Matrix account which they opened for me without explaining what it really was. When I signed the contract I said well I am not putting any information of any credit card because that part I left empty and I do not know who put that X over the box that said paid in full because I did not do it and no one told me it was paid in full otherwise I would have known immediately they were lying to me and would have confronted them right away.
I explained to him that I did not have good credit, that my credit cards were maxed out and have no money to invest and he insisted that there were nothing to worry about. Also I asked him if CI had people that speaks spanish and he says yes do not worry they do have it. When I started exchanging emails with CI customer service it turned out they do not have anyone that speaks spanish, again another lie.
Mr. Rosas also told me on the first email I received from him that nothing was charged to me admiting what he said at the seminar, then he quickly changed the message by saying it was a 12 month no interest credit but I was told that 3 days after the seminar took place, another hidden lie.
If CI says they explained eveything in detail, that is totally and clearly far away from the real truth. They just give you the bait and once you bite your are a dead fish, no return to the water.
He also said clearly that we have a free website, never did he mention it was a 30 day trial and after that you had to pay $229.00 a month for that, another hidden lie. As a matter of fact he made us write on top the contract free website to emphazise this.
I wonder if CI is so proud they have thousands of happy customers why they don't just refund the money to the few of us and clear up their bad reputation and their name, isn't that more important that getting away with the hard earned money by surviving people like us that need real help for our wounds and not poison that will kill us all?
If they are so good and proud of their product and service why they don't just let people cancel the contract before any session has been initiated? The seminar and lunch wasn't that offered for free?
It is a scam, fraud and a ripoff to charge somebody for a lunch and 3 hours of misrepresentation facts $3,000 to $6,000.
I hope that someone in the company a person who do cares about customers needs and feelings and guided by the Holy Spirit of God can make the President Craig understand what all of us are experiencing and make him change his mind and correct his errors because as humans all of us make errors in our lives and while we are alive we have the time to accept them and fix them or just ignore them and later or sooner we will have to pay the consecuences.

Coaching Institute Response

Tony begins his comments by stating that Coaching Institute deceived him by making false offers at the seminar. As he hasn't substantiated this claim with any facts it is difficult to respond to this allegation. However, Coaching Institute presenters are professionals and we do not make promises that we cannot keep. Our program is designed to assist Real Estate agents in building their business. When you participate in and follow our program, you will succeed.
He then states that he tried to cancel his program with our presenter. This is not the forum for this request. He also states that he cancelled his program within 3 business days. Clients entering into contracts with Coaching Institute are entering into a business-to-business contract therefore the 3-day cancellation period is not applicable. The FTC cooling off period is designed for consumers, not businesses. As Real Estate agents are issued licenses from their respective states, they are considered sole-proprietors and therefore considered a business. As such, this rule does not apply.
Tony then states he can supply proof of all of the emails he has exchanged with us trying to solve this problem. However, our records indicate the only problem he has tried to solve is the cancellation issue. Although we have tried to address the issue of his contractual terms with him, it has been to no avail.
As to the statements regarding the complaints filed with the Better Bureau Business of Utah. This is correct. We have had about 70 complaints filed against us. Considering the fact that we also have thousands of clients and thousands of testimonials ascribing to significant life changes through our program, we consider this a pretty good record. You can probably research just about any company that has been in business for any length of time and find a complaint about them somewhere with someone.
Tony's main complaint seems to stem from the fact that he misinterpreted the financing and coaching sessions explained at the seminar. Tony financed his coaching program. With this plan he has the option of applying for deferred payments. Tony's program is then paid for by the finance company and he then has a year to pay them. As with any deferred credit plan he will still receive a monthly bill and it is then his option to pay for the program before the year has ended (and not accrue financing charges) or begin his payments at the end of the agreed upon term. Coaching Institute has not misrepresented this information at all. In fact, Coaching Institute supplies all clients with a written guarantee that states if you have not earned or saved at least twice the cost of your tuition within twelve months of your training, we will continue coaching until you do. Had Tony participated in his program, he would have received the benefit of this guarantee and most likely had already earned the money to pay for his financing program.
As to his coaching sessions - upon joining our program clients receive 12 consecutive, thirty-minute, weekly coaching sessions. Upon completion of the initial 12 sessions, clients then go into resource-coaching. Resource sessions are scheduled twice monthly for the remaining nine months of the year. Hence, one year of coaching. It was never stated that he would receive a weekly session for one year. His contract clearly outlines the terms and conditions of the coaching sessions. If Tony was unclear on this, he only had to call Customer Service to receive clarification or read his contract.
Coaching Institute contracts are fairly simple, one page, front and back. The first page consists of outlining pricing and program information as well as minimal personal and financial information. It is very clearly written on the face of the contract that clients will receive the website for a 30-day FREE TRIAL period. It also explains (in four very short lines) what the monthly charges will be should the client elect to continue the website service. Nothing is misrepresented or hidden. The back of the contract outlines all other terms and conditions of his contract twelve, clearly written, easily interpreted terms. If Tony neglected to read his contract before signing we fail to see how this can be construed as a deficiency or devious act on the part of Coaching Institute.
And finally, Tony's refusal to participate in his program is only to his detriment. Coaching Institute remains ready, willing and able to fulfill our contractual obligations. We strongly encourage Tony to contact our Customer Service department to clarify his concerns and move forward with his program. It is for his benefit.
Our philosophy is that failure is not an option.

time for Class Action Lawsuit. I have evidence of fraud against Coaching Institute

I am a former employee and I have all of the seminars on DVD or VHS. I have proof of most of what they say is fraudulent.
Most of the instructors have NEVER been licensed or NEVER practiced Real Estate. The examples they use are untrue and manufactured.
The only way these people have ever made money is by getting you to write a check. Not one of them makes money from being involved in an active real estate practice.
So when the material information of what they say entices you to buy and that information is untrue that is fraud.
I just want a law firm to begin a class action law-suit. I have documents, recordings, threats from the owner and Video to prove anything.
I was terminated because I wanted to clean the company up. I told Craig Hendricks that the company would grow exponentially if we actually provided a service that was congruent with what was promised.
Most of the speakers are classified as independent contractors which is also against IRS code.
