#1 Consumer Suggestion

You are about to become a victim of the scam

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 07, 2003

Joshua,

you are about to become another victim but there may be time to prevent it. They are known to deliberately delay sending you one of the passcodes. Also, they delay responding to emails. The reason being is to make the 30 days pass.

First thing you must do is CANCEL the membership now. There are 3 ways to do it:

1. Call 1 (888) 888-8553, choose option 4 to cancel. It will give you 3 more choices on how to cancel. They are by phone, via email and via fax.

The email address is cancel@consumerinfo.com
The fax number is 714-385-2100

If you can do all 3 ways then do it, or even 2 is good. Save and document any conversations or forms when you do it. If you choose to fax it, you can obtain the phone record showing you called that number, which proves what date you cancelled. They will delay your cancellation if they can until after the 30 days is up. Beat them to it.

In the current lawsuit against, they told the judge that they have NEVER charged anyone if they cancelled within a free trial period. They did it to me and hundreds of others. Any paperwork that you have proving that you did cancel within 30 days could help lawyers in future cases against them. One lawyer has mine right now. It totally disproves what they're telling the courts but many people need to come forward.

Next thing that would be wise for you to do is call the bank and have them reissue you a new debit or credit card. Any charges that you have pending against your current card will still go through but Consumerinfo will get DENIED (if they haven't got a pending charge already).

Trust me, learn from us victims and follow my advice.
