DIRECT USA FOODS IS ONE BIG SCAM, THEY SELL YOU MEAT THAT I WOULD EVEN GIVE MY DOG ripoff SAINT PETERSBURG, DAYTONA Florida

My story is quick and it starts like this.

Today is 12/29 @ around 2:30pm a very nice gentleman came to my door. His name was Tony. He introduced himself and told me about his WONDERFUL company. He told me his company sells to resturants and wanted to give me the oportunity to purchase Prime meats at a discounted price. He was even willing to give me a senior citizen discount(I am 35) and a 1st time customer discount. LUCKY ME! So I wrote him a check for $168.00 (he said that he had a stamp so I didn't have to write the company name). I was so excited because now I didn't have to do any meat shopping for a while.

Next thing I know my husband started to cook dinner and when he cut the FROZEN packages open on the delmonico steaks he said they smelled funny and were slimy. YUCK! Well we figured we would cook the 4 steaks (one for my husband, one for me and 2 for my 3 kids to split) and see how they tasted. Needless to say all 4 steaks are in a ziploc bag for the company to take back along with all the other 5 boxes of steaks in my freeze.

There is no other way to explain the taste but I would not even feed the POOR or my dog that meat. It tasted processed and just thinking about it again makes me queezy.

By the way, I did have the runs this evening. I only had 2 small pieces of a steak.

I called Tony because he gave me his direct number and I left him a message and told him my thoughts about the product. I explained that I needed him to come back with MY MONEY and to take the product back alone with the 4 cooked steaks. I said that I was going to put a STOP payment on my check. I left my number and told him to call me right away. He hasn't called yet and it is 10:30pm.

MY husband was very angry and he told me not to wait to put stop payment on the check. So I called my bank to put a stop payment and I couldn't stop it because he had already cashed the check.

Within 3 hours this company sold $168.00 worth of dog food (DIRECT USA MEAT), and CASHED my check. Nothing like taking the money and running!

And the best part is Tony is giving me a discount of the $168 everytime I order from them.

By the way, this company has not heard the last of me. I will be contact the Orlando Sentinel tomorrow and sending my complaint to them so maybe they can get to the bottom of this.
