Dixie Home Crafters High Pressure Sales Tactics - hard to get to leave your house Knoxville Tennessee

We had a representative (Travis) from Dixie Home Crafters out of Knoxville come to our home in Roan Mountain to give an estimate. While he was very nice, he was overkill from the beginning. But, as his job is sales, we were ok with that. However, 3 hours later. . .he came at 6:30 pm. . .we were ready for him to wrap up his sales talk. I had tried to encourage not so many details as we'd done some research and didn't need him to go over absolutely everything. . but that did not work.

We have gotten another estimate and wanted to get a couple more and never had any plans to commit on this evening and shared that with the sales rep. He did the call his boss thing and then stayed on the phone for about 20 minutes. During this time, I shared with him I did not like this tactic and it would not get us closer to making any type of decision. Everything I said he repeated to what was supposed to be his boss. He kept asking why we wouldn't commit. . .we kept telling him we would be considering all our options and also didn't like high pressure sales and he needed to wrap up his call to whomever. He stayed on the phone going back and forth for 20 minutes. finally, I had to tell him our time was up, he was done here. He would not leave and I was getting very aggravated. He kept asking why I thought it was high pressure and kept repeating everything I said to his "boss" on the phone. It was 9:30 pm by that time and my patience was gone.

If this company were giving away gold, I would not support them. I am amazed that this kind of activity still goes on. I am a strong person and I feel sorry for anyone who is the least bit timid who ends up with this fellow or company. It was a very unpleasant evening. Though I'm sure their windows are great, the tactics they use should be illegal. In the area where I live, he is liable to have someone pull a gun out and make sure he leaves when asked.
