Element Sales Lying Thieves St.Joseph Missouri

On 2/29/08, a young man named Charles came to my door,selling magazine subscriptions. I purchased a subscription to Sports Fisherman for a total of $36.00. I paid by check and was given my receipt. I was told by Charles that the check would be held for two weeks and that I could cancel the order within business days. Charles really pushed for me to pay in cash but I said no.
On March 3,2008,the check had cleared through my account: I never believe anyone when they say they will "hold" a check.
As of April 25,2008, I have not received the first magazine even though I was told that I would start receiving them within 4 weeks.
Starting on April 1,2008, I have called Element Sales,Inc at the toll free number provided and I have left messages requesting a call back. I have yet to receive one. On April 7,2008, I sent a registered letter to the address provided on my receipt and I have received conformation that the letter was signed for.
I have tried contacting the company via the myspace.com info provided on the receipt but I reached a dead end.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
Should someone from that company darken my door again, I shall ask to see photo I.D. or ask to speak to the "sponsor" with the salesperson while calling my local police and reporting a scam artist trespassing on my property.
