I was ripped off and treated rude and totally unfairly by Extended Stay America.

 

I have been staying here for the past 4 months and have spent a total of over $12,000

yet due to THEIR mistake, they are not willing to issue a refund of 1 nights stay!

 

I booked a reservation online and was informed 4 days later that my account here was

passed due?  Although, I am sure that I booked the reservation as usual at the location

whereI always do, it seems somehow the booking made it to the wrong location even

though, I gave the reservation number to the front desk who told me everything checked

out ok. 

 

However, 4 days later our office recieved a call saying we were passed due.  We went ahead

and booked again for the month over the phone only to find out later we been charged for

1 night at the other location.  Calling the 800 number was a frustrating and awful experience,

do not ever stay here, you get no help or sympathy if you can reach anybody to even listen

to you.

 

After trying to reach managers and even corporate it was huge waste of time because I was

simply greated with incompetent first tier phone operators who were poorly traived and had

no idea what they were doing, how to answer basic questions about my problems and charges

to the account and repeated refusals to transfer me to a manager only to finally be put on hold

for 30 minutes at a time leaving me unable to reach anyone and exhausted.  THE SAME GOES

FOR CORPORATE HEADQUATERS!

 

I tried to reach them there, no answer just voice mail.  I tried to reach Terry Atkins, media 

relations, again, voice mail and no help!

 

Be sure you are on it if you book with them because they are all about the money and not

the customer.  They will purposely give you the run arouvd and purposely make you wait on

hold in order to avoid dealing with you and you will have to fight just to be put on hold. 

Calling corporate is no better!  You will reach nobody and will not be called back!!  It doesn't

matter how much you spend, who's fault it is or how long you have been there; once they

got your money that's it and they won't give it back.

 

 I rarely make complaints and it had to be bad for me to go this far.  I reserve somethivg like

this as a last resort and only for special cases.  Be sure this company deserves it.
