FCNB Checks taking to long to clear, late fees rip off Hicksville New York

My payment for my Newport News was due June 29, I mailed my payment on June 20 to Oregon. I received a notice on July 18 that they hadn't received my payment and now charging me a $35.00 late fee. I have noticed now that the payments are being sent to New York. I called my bank to find out that the check cleared on the July 16. I have notice serveral other people have had the same thing happen to them.

The worse thing is we have no one to call. I don't mind paying for what I owe but if they are going to hold my check every month to get a late free the hell with them I won't pay. I also notice my new statement doesn't have a due date it justs states due now. So I guess from here on in we will have late charges. If I get one more late charge I will no longer pay on this account. I will have my local legislator checking in to this. I will no longer shop at Newport News, Eddie Bauer or Spiegel.
