I was contacted by David Cooper from GE Capital after searching for a low credit score loan. Mr Cooper assured me I was approved for the loan and needed to pay for payment protection insurance. After googling it I considered it a fair request due to my poor credit score and sent the funds, like an idiot. I have not received anything from the company other than demands for more money and when I stated I would not be sending anymore money that I wanted the money I sent refunded, Mr Cooper became verbally abusive and also stated he would be coming to F me in the A, and that reporting him would do no good because the law cannot touch him. He laughed as he said he was better than the FBI and I would just allow him to F me. He also eluded to the fact he has my address and my information and I should be ware. The threats and harassing texts continued until I finally blocked his number from my phone.

GE Capital doesn't make personal loans at all.
You were dealing with a scammer. I'm sure his name isn't even Mr. Cooper. He is taunting you because these scammers can, and do, get away with outrageous acts.
Go to FTC.gov and read up on financial scams so you know what to watch out for in the future. By the way, there is no legitimate lender that charges an upfront fee before the personal loan is issued as those fees, no matter what they are called, are not legal in the US. "Protection insurance" is an example of one of those bogus fees. I don't know what you googled, but you weren't looking at a legitimate financial type website. Take the time to learn so you don't fall for these types of scams in the future.
