Geico Insurance Deceptive/questionable billing practices Nationwide
*Consumer Comment: Really?
Geico insurance company continued to bill me after I closed my checking account. They have informed me that I am nearly 200$ past due because I would have been insured had I been involved in an accident.
I have since found a local company that has a real human answer the phone to take care of business with no annoying answer machine systems.

So you stated that Geico continued to bill you after you closed your checking account? So I'll take that to mean one of two things; you closed your account due to a lack of funds or that you had set up automatic payments via your checking account to Geico. Just because you close your checking account does not mean that you are off the hook in paying your monthly bill to Geico. Since you never claimed to have cancelled with Geico, one can only assume that you never indeed contacted them to cancel. So, they have every right to continue billing you. Even if you are 2 months late, and finally decided to cancel with Geico, you would still owe those 2 months.
