BEWARE-DON'T BUY GEICO! GEICO IS THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH when it comes to claims. I was hit by a GEICO insured motorist. They did a large amount of damage to my almost new car, which lost considerable value. Because GEICO is not willing to pay a reasonable amount for the lost value, I am forced to sue the driver. I proposed a reasonable solution, but they don't care and would rather see an insured lose multiple times the small amount I requested. BUYER BEWARE- you may think you have coverage, but you could end up being sued based on their unreasonableness.
I addition, GEICO will not even pay for the total amount of the rental I drove while the substantial damage was being repaired. I pay for a BMW but rented a KIA and GEICO won't even pay for the full amount. I will also be suing for this amount.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Geico Failure to Pay

Assuming your statement of 'almost new' car, you would have collision on that vehicle. That being said, you should have gone through that coverage for the damage to YOUR car, instead of Geico and let your insurance figure out reimbursement with Geico. That is the purpose of collision coverage.
