Global Tel Link GTL is a Ripoff Artist Denver Colorado

I have spent an entire day trying to find out how much is on my daughter's account and trying to put some more money on my account. I've left my number because they have "heavy call load". When I got called back I told the rep what I wanted and she put me on hold for almost 15 minutes because she could not handle calls in Tennessee. I called a number that I was given that is supposed to be for Tennessee only. Then I get a guy on there and he says he's going to put me on hold. I said oh please don't - I've already been on hold for 15 minutes and he says "no way" and puts me on hold. I am at work trying to do this because if you call on the weekend you can forget getting through, so I waited until Monday morning thinking it was not so busy early in the morning. Well, I was incorrect. I had to put the on hold call on hold when I received another call and guess what - they hung up while I was answering the other line. I called back and was told by a computer voice that my number was already in the que, so I hang up and wait another hour and try again. I left my number for the 4th time today and I have still not got a call. It is maddening. I read all the complaints on this site and some people have had much worse things happen than I have. I agree that we should all complain to either the FCC or the Regulatory Commission for utilities. Here in Tennessee it's called Tennessee Regulatory Commission, but it may be by a different name in another state. I'm sure you can find it if you go to the blue pages of your phone book or online. It's just ridiculous that a company can get away with treating people the way Global Tel Link does, simply because you have a son, daughter, husband or other relative in prison. That does not make us any less human and you do get the impression that they feel like they can treat you any way they want to because we know someone in prison. I have run across a couple of reps that were actually nice to me, but that is not the norm. We need to band together if we want to see changes.
