I have been a Goodwill Online customer for over two years and the shipping and handling has gotten increasingly more expensive. I have received boxed shoes wrapped in many pounds of peanuts and wrapping. These are donated items. If it weighs 0.1 pound they charge you for a pound. If you complain, they block your bidding. They use expensive freight carriers and make you pay for insurance. It all adds up to a lot of money to the carriers and to USPS. They limit the items they will pack in one box so you are paying extra shipping for nothing. They increase the S and H for an item up to 5% of the cost so even if they throw things in a box you still can pay $30 for 3 pairs of pants thrown in a $1.50 box. There is no reason for this. Sometimes the things are damaged and stained and listed as women's when they are men's or children's. The shipping should be reasonable since they are donated items. This is a huge rip-off and should be stopped. They are disrespectful of their customers when you phone and ask them to re-weigh a bracelet they say weighs a pound when it doesn't. I am extremely upset with them. I liked the idea of contributing to a charity but now I realize I am being taken advantage of as are other good customers. Now I think they probably bid up the items to get you to pay more and then the biggest ripoff is the S and H. I have brought items to the PO and the PO weighed them and said I was being "taken". If there is a class action suit for this I want to sign on and make them eat their "bad will" for their customers.

Clearly yourwealthy beyond your means. If you believe goodwill isnt ripping people off, your insane.
Ive been dealing with goodwill in every fasion my entire life.THere very greedy and they do ripp off the poor and most goes into feeding the fat cats at the top.
Heres an example,I lived in Iowa several years back.Good will had accumulated thousands and thousands of gallons of paint, floor strippers, enamel, pestacides, anything toxic that comes in a can. They had it all.I had to rent a huge box truck and use my truck to move this all.How did I get the contract to move it?I had to be the lowest bidder.Nomally you have to have special chemical disposing licenses to remove and dispose of chemicals,Permits, and so on.
What did good will of cedar rapids iowa require? The lowest cheapest bidder with no experiance removing chemicals.I had no permits nor was I asked for any.Why did i get the bid?Because I didnt have to pay for all the special licensing and I didnt have to tell them where it goes when I take it away. All I had to do was be the cheapest idiot out there willing to haul it away and stick it in storeage somewhere else.Eventually it all ended upexactly where the government did not want it.Polluting the earth somewhere.
Secondly I shop online,Its been along time since i bought anything online so I started to buy crap from good will online.First I bought an antique clock and the shipping was high but its antique and has to be packed specificly to protect the item so I didnt mind that super high price for shipping,THat is until I bought a tshirt for a few dollars,The shipping was $15.00 to ship a simple tshirt. So i raised hell with them and they ignored me.Eventually they cancelled the bid.
Next week I bought a cumforter,A simple cumforter,Guess what they charged for that,$20.00 to ship this snail mail and it took two weeks to get it.They actually only paid $5.00 to ship this.No ididnt get priority mail I didnt get overnight,I got the slowest cheapest mailing there was for my $20.00 so good will over charged me $15.00 and it went to buy the fat cats a steak dinner.Iim as poor as the next guy and when I order enough crap from them,I will file a lawsuit against them that will make there heads spin.
Good will is a cover for rich people to pretend there helping the poor.Ever wonder why anything nice goes online to sell instead of on the store floor.Because Greed rules there empire.I dated a manager from good will once.Guess what her house was full of when we went there for the first time? All the good crap good will employees take home,Exspecially the managers. They take all the nice expensive stuff that grandma jones was thinking would help the poor.Theres no honor amoung thieves.
If a company gets 10,000,000 million dollars and spends $2,000,000 of it on the poor,is that really helping the poor? Its helping them selves with the poor as a cover to keep there pockets lined with gold. Good will is based off of all the other corrupt banking that we see everyday failing because they took too many bonuses for themselves and forgot the big picture.Stop stealing from the poor good.Bunch of crooks!

I've bought a bunch of stuff from Goodwill online.
The shipping and handling charges are clearly posted for each item, and I've never been overcharged.
There doesn't seem to be an intent to defraud or swindle, and you can simply decide not to engage with this organization.
