I received a call today from Nicolas Stone, a representative of GoTech Financial. He informed me that I was approved to receive an "unsecured" credit card with a limit of up to $5,000. If I accepted his offer, I would be receiving $250 to spend on America Online Shopping.
All I would have to do would be to make a 1 time payment of $189 +$29 for shipping and handling. I was also recorded through the phone to verify my "Order." During the recording, the statements that I was supposed to confirm didn't seem to be that great anymore. I was not certain and I made sure that my uncertainty would be recorded.
During the recording, I asked questions just to confirm what I would be getting into. All Nicolas did was rush me. He quickly got off the phone with me leaving me with some unanswered questions. I called the customer service line (800)6342979 and received nothing more than a busy signal. I've been calling every hour yet i still get the same thing.
I went online to the website he gave me to receive $250 to spend online and the link seemed to have nothing to do with GoTech Financial. Fortunately, Mr. Stone called again saying that the recording was not processing and if it would be possible to do it again. I went through it again just so my statements would be recorded. The recording also GAVE me a free trial of long distance calling for 15 days. I said NO and he told me all I had to do was cancel it. I clearly stated "NO, I don't want the free long distance." If for any reason, I get charged for the long distance, I'm taking this to court. My job consists of giving out the same free offer yet I know it's unnacceptable if the customer denies it and they still get it.
I also told Mr. Stone about the website and instead of an answer, he said he would take of it for me and give me the information within 10 minutes. I informed him that it would be fine if he could just walk me through it step by step since I was online already. He refused saying he'd do it himself. I questioned his reason of rushing me and why couldn't I do it myself. Nicolas said he was in a rush to process the order. I told him that he had 10 minutes to call me back or else I'd report him. It has been 30 minutes now and I'm pretty unhappy.

I recieved a phone call from Jake Morris stating that he was from a credit building company and was going to give me a package to help build my credit. I tried to ask questions but all they did was rush through questions so I hung up the phone. He called me back within one minute to finnish the application. I told him that I didn't want to do anything with my checking account because I've had problems with it in the past. Well he then told me all I had to do was call and cancel my drop date and nothing would be taken out of my checking. What is the sense of that? Don't process my application. But of course today is my dropdate and I cannot get through on the 1 800 # that they have given me. Beware!!!
