GT Express False advertising. Unlawful charges to my credit card. Customer service refusal to help. West Chester Ohio

I ordered the GT express late on a Fri. night. I was given the total for the cooker and they confirmed my order. After the order was complete I clicked on a tab that said click here for your FREE recipes. I assumed I would be getting free recipes. Instead they surreptitiously enrolled me in 2 different recipe clubs. One with a monthly charge of 6.96 & the other with a recurring charge of 9.95 every other month.

I realized they did this when I got their confirmation email. I immediately called & learned no one would be available until Mon. morning. I called as soon as they opened & when I told them to remove me from the unauthorized recipe clubs the rep. offered a discount on the machine. I insisted she remove me from the clubs & learned that I was disenrolled from the 9.95 club but she had still kept me enrolled in the 6.95 per month.

I had called within 15 minutes of the company being open for business Monday morning yet when I told them to cancel the total order I was told it was impossible as the product had already been shipped. I knew it was a lie. There was no way it had been processed & shipped within 15 minutes of opening. The person said all I could do was refuse shipment when it arrived & be charged shipping & handling. They lied because on Wed.

I received an email from them letting me know the product had just been shipped.I called my credit card company to dispute the charge & was told that the company had not just charged me one time for the cooker but had put a $73. recurring charge on my account!! I am in the process of disputing this recurring charge as well as the 6.95 monthly charge. This is a dishonest company and regret ever placing an order!!
