Household Bank Charges late fees if you make a payment right before a weekend Salines California

I have had a Household Credit Card for 4 months. Each time I have sent in a payment it has always been over the minimum payment and always 3-6 days early.

This time though due to how I received my paycheck I made a payment 2 days early. Only it happened to be on a Friday. I tried to pay online and a noticed appeared stating I may be charged a late fee.

The site stated to avoid this, I should send a rush payment for $12.95 so I wouldn't be late even though I was paying 2 days before it was due.

I spoke with Customer Service and they stated that even though I was making a payment early on a Friday, they don't process payments on the weekend because those are not business days and it also happened to be Columbus day on that Monday so the payment would not be processed until Tuesday.

They would not waive this late fee and stated again to avoid this I should send a rush payment to insure payment ontime.

I was forced to use the rush payment which cut into the normal overpayment I send end early each month. After I pay off this credit card I will definetly be cancelling their service.
