LaSalle Bank ABN AMRO LaSalle stealthily charges $25 per month service fee. Brighton Nationwide

LaSalle recently sold my mortgage to CitiMortgage.

I had unknowingly had a checking and money-market account called "Select Services". With "Select Services" you must maintain a minimum monthly balance of $25,000. This balance is the combination of your check, savings, and mortgage.

I just happened to notice my checking account was being hit with a $25 monthly service fee.

When I called to ask LaSalle how long they have been charging me this fee, the customer service representative said they do not know how long they have been charging this fee, perhaps all the way back to early 2005.

When I asked to be refunded for this fee, they basically told me to go fly a kite. They said they would only refund the last service fee.

So basically LaSalle is screwing anyone who had their mortgage through them and have since sold their mortgages.

My guess is that LaSalle was pushing this "Select Services" account to anyone who had their mortgage through LaSalle.
