After cancelling our lease with LFG via fax as they requested and sending the cc machine via UPS, our company was still billed the following month for the credit card machine. When I was able to get through to someone (Rachelle), I was told that the fax was received April 2 on a Monday. My fax was sent Friday, March 30th. I was told the burden of proof as to when the fax was sent was upon me.

When I asked to speak with someone in Accounting or a supervisor, I was told that accounting does not handle customer issues and that I could not speak with a supervisor because this was not a supervisor related issue. I was simply told that without the proof as to when the fax was sent, I would not be reimbursed. I then stated how do I know I won't be billed again, which the reply was that my account was cancelled. I asked if I could receive a letter of cancellation. I was told yes.

Not having a transmission statement left me with little recourse. I did leave 3 separate messages... 1st with Zach whom I had spoken with in March
2nd with Kathy Wilson
3rd with Angela (supervisor)

After a week of no returned phone calls, I took my problem to my Bank and filed a fraudulent claim against LFG. Within 2 weeks, I received a check from LFG reimbursing my company the full amount. There was no letter explaining why I was receiving a check.

I encourage you to do the same -- it seemed to work for me.
