I went to Liberty Tax service on January 14 2010 to do my taxes. I usually use another well known tax service but a friend refered me to go here this year. I requested a two week refund, was told i would receive it on January 29. January th 28th i was called and informed that it was deposited into my bank account. January 29th came i check my account nothing. I called my bank they tell me nothing is even pending. Today is January 30th still nothing. So I call the office and cant get any imformation on when i will receive it. I call they're bank and the automated recording tates that my refund was deposited in they're bank account on January the 27th and they have deposited in my account and it can take one to four days extra to clear after the initial two weeks i've waited already. This is not what im paying three hundred plus dollars to receive. I have never been through something like this befor filing my taxes ever. I've called corporate to complain im waiting to here what happened. I could have mailed my taxes in and payed less to wait. If they tell customers this up front they would run. A total waste of my money. I would never use this service again. Still waiting

ACH deposits

Sometimes ACH payments are not posted at the bank daily. Sometimes it takes an extra couple of days for them to post to your bank. The tax place should have told you this .

I don't work for Liberty, and I'm not sure what documentation they provide you after a return is completed, but may I make a suggestion.

Check the routing and account number that was submitted by Liberty.  There may have made a typo and your money could have been deposited in a wrong account.  If that is the case, you or Liberty may have to contact the bank to try and get that corrected.

Personally I can think of no other legitimate reason for them to say the money was deposited in your account and nothing appeared.  It should not take four days for the deposit to appear in your account, and your bank surely would have noted the pending deposit.
