Midnight Velvet Midnight Velvet Scam Return Charges, Ripoff, nasty collection attempts for NOTHING received. Monroe, WI 53566-1364 Internet

I was sent a catalog with PRE-APPROVED CREDIT LINE that I did not apply for!! I get a boat-load of catalogs since buying some stuff online from a whole host of internet catalog merchandise companies I've never bought from, nor applied for credit with NOR asked for or signed up for catalogs.  Seems most of these companies are affiliated anymore or sell the same junk under different names, particularly if they come with pre-approved credit you DIDN'T ASK FOR with same credit limit and their junk like MIDNIGHT VELVET's poor merchandise looks the same as in other similar catalogs. 

I thought I'd try a couple pieces of clothing that looked nice in the photos, so I sent off the request with my pre-approved guaranteed membership.  Once I got the merchandise (tops) they were clearly poorly manufactured, over-priced for what they turned out to be, and ill-fitting. I returned them all in the package they sent with their label.  Next thing I know, I get a bill for around $42.00 dollars in SHIPPING RETURNS! WTF? I GOT NO MERCHANDISE but was charged an outrageous return fee for two tops! Then a month later, I get a bill for $10.00 late fee.  So I finally sent them their stupid, outrageous SCAM return fee of $42, only to get a snotty collection note stating how lucky I was that they extended me credit (I NEVER ASKED FOR)... and that now I owe them an additional $10 (now $20 in late charges) for the merchandise I sent back and never wore.  I told them were they could stick it. They continue to write and harass me saying their ruin my credit if I don't send the late fee's for the amount I already sent them. 

You know what MIDNIGHT VELVET...you're a scam, rip-off artists, and I'm not bowing to your stupid, illegal, threatening childish actions and I've also sent a cease and get lost notice. DO NOT USE THEM, their merchandise is beyond tacky and overpriced and G-forbid if you want to return anything, you will pay more than the merchandise, it's labor and the salary paid to make it costs...in the sweatshops it comes from.
