In late February I realized I was having transaxle issues with my 1998 Nissan Altima GXE. I had called around and was told that Mr. Transmission could do the work and would be able to put me on a payment plan. So on the morning of February 29 I had my car towed to my local Mr. Transmission Shop so they could diagnose the issue and give me an estimated cost on how much the repairs would cost me.
Before anything had even started with my car or even with the paperwork the mechanic of the shop told me that altough he did have a few vehicles in front of line from me, that I should be able to get my car back on the next tuesday or wednsday at the latest.
That next Wednsday came and went so I called on thursday and they told me that my car was not done, that they hadn't even gotten it into the shop yet. I was told they would get it in the next week. I received a call on the next tuesday saying that they were bringing my car in at that moment to look at it and I would get a call later with the diagnoses. I never received a call. Trying to be patient I called them a week and a half later and they told me that they were still working on it and were waiting on parts. I called them again and they said it would be a few more weeks because they were waiting on parts from California. The shop secretary told me that my car was foreign and that the parts were hard to come by.
Every contact with this "business" has been initiated by me. The secretary and the mechanic kept saying they would need my title for colaterol. They have yet to give me any kind of written estimate.
If you live in the southeast region of Tennessee and are having issues with your car, be advised NOT to go with this company, they will rip you off.

Just an update on my situation. As far as I know this "business" still has what used to be my car. they kept calling me about payment and I told them that they would get payment when i had a working car, which was still in their garage. I ended up making them get a mechanics lein and they took it from me. now I am either gettnig rides from friends, riding a bike, or walking everywhere. whatever you do....DO NOT go to the location on Ocoee Street in Cleveland, Tennessee. The Burnetts (the owners) are rip off artists!!!

Stay far, far away!! We also had major issues with Mr. Transmission a while back. Please do not be surprised if it takes even longer or costs alot more quoted or you have more transmission issues afterward. They had to replace ours more than once. Once we went to smaller local transmission shop our issues stopped. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out, please.
