I purchased a home security system from NORTHSTAR on 04/17/2003. My portion of the cost was paid in full in the form of a check, which posted to my account. I agreed to allow NORTHSTAR to make an electronic transfer from my checking account each month in the amount of $72.00 for two monitoring systems for two homes (mine and my in-laws). I thought that I could trust them (what a mistake).

I am talking about a security company that solicited my business by pledging to help protect me, my family and in-laws from theft and harm. Little did I know at the time that it was NORTHSTAR the symbol of trust, honesty and hope who would end up scamming me and many others for years to come.

It went on my credit report as with all Northstar victims. This company will always rip you off for at least another year no matter how good of a customer you are.

Service is very bad even when alarm went off several times. They would refuse to tell me how to disarm in the middle of the night because my contact information hasn't been transferred yet as they stated.
Please read below a letter that I sent which was followed by several attorney letters and as usual NORTHSTAR will not answer.

Attention Kent,

Please be advised that I have called several times in order to cancel NorthStar Alarm Services for both account numbers ########## and ##########. I have always been giving the answer that someone will call me, and no one did return my calls.

On 4/14/06 I spoke with Venisa and she sent me a copy of both contracts that the money is being withdrawn from my personal account automatically on a monthly basis.
Your records should show how dissatisfied I am with your services in the past.

I would please ask that both contracts to be canceled immediately and once I finish my 36 months that I am obligated to 5/17/06.

I tried to cancel before due to dissatisfaction and I was told I couldn't due to the 36 month period.
My bank has been informed to halt both withdrawing transactions.
