NORTHSTAR ALARM SERVICES JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THEY COULDN'T POSSIBLY STOOP ANY LOWER!! Orem Utah

BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! If someone from Northstar Alarm Services shows up at your front door trying to sell you a home security system, do yourself a favor and politely tell them that you are under contract with a comptetitor; better yet, slam the door in their face!

Don't be fooled, this company has absolutely no regard for the protection, safety or well being of you and your family. They have but only one agenda and that is to get your signature on the dotted line so that they can contractually enslave you; this is their liscense to screw you and while you will be expected by Northstar to follow all of the terms and conditions of your contract to the letter (this includes all fine print). Northstar, on the other hand, will randomly determine what they believe their obligations to you are (Which, by the way, are none).

This company has stolen from me, they have lied to me, they have even gone so far as to send me fraudelent billing statements in order to try and collect money from me that is not owed them. Most recently, they have falsely reported me as being delinquent on my account to a credit reporting agency, in an attempt to try and destroy my good credit standing.

Luckily, I was able to prove, through documentation sake, that Northstar was knowingly and deliberately reporting this information in error, which is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In light of this most recent violation, I am currently working on getting the Federal Trade Commision involved and I would encourage each one of you who has had a similar experience to do the same. Companies like Northstar feed on the consumer who either doesn't take the time to educate themselves of their legal rights and remedies under the law, or simply doesn't have the time or the energy to fight back.

Don't bother filing a complaint with the BBB. The BBB is a FARSE and a complete waste of your valuable time!! Make no mistake about it, the BBB works for the companies like Northstar who pay their annual membership fees, which in turn, pays their annual salaries. I think everyone should boycott the BBB (busineses and consumers alike) and put them out of business once and for all. If you think about it, the BBB is really nothing more than a legalized version of a shake down. This concept that was founded by mobsters during the prohibiton era, where business owners were being shaken down and forced ,through methods of intimidation, to pay a fee in exchange for protection.
