Receives 1 out of 10 rating as their prices and specials are mediocre at best.

Currently under investigation for violating at least 3 constitutional aspects unheard of these days. Consumer base and management an extremely tight 'old boys network'. Their public domain Tech Talk forum for consumer comments and 'help' strictly run as a privately controlled biased fa sad, with a face front for public additions. If you are not within their own demographic of being a white, middle aged or older male, comments, customer, and tech help and support are deleted (under any excuse possible), and to not have a audit trail.

This is done to eliminate any hint of problems or race and gender bias, or to provide equal comments and support to the public at large. This is Parts Express's "underground' company policy and attitude, and has been for decades. **Beware if you are a woman or female, or any other other race besides Caucasian**. This is a very paranoid, backwards, and threatened ownership, management, and consumer base, located in deep southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky.

Many consumers have complained about their shipping, handling, and packing problems- shipping damaged product also, and are met with the strictest resistance and rationalized excuses.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

Parts Express made it right.

AUTHOR: CJ Kersh - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 20, 2014

Overall I have had very good service from Parts Express. What appeared to be laundering of feedback led to my filing of the ripp off report. On two occassions feedback on an item that I did not highly was removed.

After compianing about this, a helpful service representative reached out to me and said that they outsource the feedback monitoring, she was able to find my feedback and put it back on the site.

The terms of feedback were fairly stright forward and I had clearly not violated them. To avoid reports like this in the future, it would be hlepful to police the company that monitors your feedback and ensure they are not stacking the deck on your behalf or better still monitor it yourself in house and if it fits your feedback guidelines do not mess with it.

So are you claiming you do not launder your product feedback

AUTHOR: CJ Kersh - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 06, 2014

I see that in your rebuttal here that you reference your feedback system as being fair and ethical.

Question, is it your escertion that you do not delete nagative feedback to ensure that your products recieve high marks?

If you say you don't I would question your ethics there because that would appear to be a lie since you have deleted mine.

If you do delete qualified and fair negative feedback, how is that ethical?

Parts Express Response

AUTHOR: Cil Padgett Shaw - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 09, 2010

Parts Express is not nor has been under investigation for any wrong doing in our operation.  We are a global distributor, located in southwest Ohio, with a solid reputation for over 26 years as a reliable, trustworthy, and ethical supplier.  We openly solicit feedback, good or bad, and provide multiple feedback channels to do so including an online feedback link which is received and responded to promptly by me as well as a feedback email address which is directed to our President.  We consistently earn outstanding ratings from multiple independent point-of-sale and fulfillment surveys conducted by BizRate and Amazon.  We are an accepted member of the Better Business Bureau.

Parts Express hosts Tech Talk, a long-time and popular forum created for audio enthusiasts to exchange information, ideas, and post questions within the audio community.  While employees and management do not participate in forum discussions, we do moderate in order to assure our members may participate in a respectful, productive, helpful, manner.  In the rare event forum conduct Terms and Conditions are not met, a member post may be removed and to a greater length, membership may be revoked.

Parts Express core management team is comprised of a wide age-range and includes multiple, tenured females.  The Tech Talk forum on the other hand is assumed to be mostly male (of all ages) since in generalized terms, audio is male fan based.  We do not require a male or female profile in order to register membership nor does registration require the disclosure of age, race, religion, or nationality.  I extend a genuine apology in the event any forum member may have offended the author and hope for an opportunity to discuss any cause of concern.

Nonsense! Parts Express Provides Excellent Sales & Service

AUTHOR: Marty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 05, 2009

This rebuttal is not intended to be argumentative however; I'm responding FACTUALLY to the above post which appears to be irrational and nonsensical.

I've dealt with Parts Express many times and frequently receive both e-mail and paper flyers.

You've made several statements that have no evidence of truth such as "Currently under investigation for violating at least 3 constitutional aspects unheard of these days. " What does that even mean?

No, they are not "currently under investigation" and they are not a "good 'ole boy network." Parts Express (or any other website, for that matter) has their own forums provided a service to their customers and as such are privately maintained and problematic posters are dealt with as they see fit.

Let me provide some reasons why Parts Express in my experience and opinion is good to above average:
1. Many component parts prices are lower than many retail stores, if you can even find the parts.
2. They often run closeout specials on project & speaker parts, with some going for 3. Customers are encouraged to post product reviews and/or submit project ideas which are published.
4. Technical specifications are clearly provided with many items.
5. Quality of the items has been very good, and customer service has been great.

In one occasion I posted a review of an item (vaccum tube socket) saying I was dissatisfied, and a rep. when through their records just to find my name, call me, and make sure the problem was corrected! NICE!

I am not an employee simply a satisfied customer.
